Test your supplier documents: free EU Battery Passport gap check
Drop a datasheet, material declaration or test report. In about 15 seconds you'll see which battery passport data points your files already cover, and exactly what you still need from your supplier.
What the check looks for
All 71 data points in the European Commission's guidance Digital Batteries Passport: data points by category (v2.0, 15 August 2026), with the applicability for EV, LMT and industrial batteries as of February 2027. Battery passports are required from 18 February 2027 for LMT batteries, industrial batteries above 2 kWh and EV batteries.
Some well-known items are not to be filled in as of February 2027: the carbon footprint declaration and label (format pending), responsible sourcing (from August 2027) and recycled content (pending Article 8 rules). The check tells you which.
The guidance is not legally binding and our mapping is a draft under review. A preparation aid, not legal advice.
