Terms of service
Draft of October 2026.
Compliance Translator at https://www.dppmaker.com (the "Service") is operated by Igor Kazazic, Segeparksgatan 18, 212 50 Malmö, Sweden ("we"). Contact: contact@dppmaker.com. By using the Service, you agree to these terms.
1. What the Service is
The Service helps you collect, organise, check and export evidence about battery products from documents you and your suppliers provide. It compares that evidence with a requirement set based on public guidance, currently the European Commission's Digital Batteries Passport: data points by category (version 2.0, 15 August 2026). That is the whole job.
2. We don't certify. You decide.
- The guidance is not legally binding and may change. Our requirement set is our reading of it. Where the Service labels a requirement set as a draft, it has not been reviewed by a qualified person.
- The Service does not give legal advice, perform conformity assessments, register a battery passport or certify compliance, and it does not represent you before any authority. You remain responsible for how regulations apply to your products, for which data you publish, and for whether your products comply.
- No accuracy guarantee. Extraction, unit conversion and OCR are automated and can misclassify a value or misread a scanned figure, especially in unusual layouts. Extracted values are proposals. Review each one against its source before you rely on it or pass it on, and treat a flagged gap or conflict as something to resolve, not to override. Marking a value as reviewed is your decision.
3. Your data
- You keep all rights to documents, values and other content you or your suppliers upload ("Customer Data"). We use Customer Data only to provide the Service to you, as set out in the Data Processing Agreement.
- We do not use Customer Data to train AI models. AI-assisted extraction is off unless you switch it on.
- You confirm that you may upload the documents you upload, including your suppliers' documents, and that you may share them with us for this purpose.
- Supplier documents marked confidential are excluded from evidence packs and only visible to your admins and auditors.
- Unlike a tool that runs in your browser, the Service stores your files on our servers until you or we delete them. See the Privacy Policy for details and retention.
4. Accounts and acceptable use
Keep your login details secret. You agree not to: use the Service for any unlawful purpose; upload malware; attempt to access other customers' data or to circumvent access controls; probe, scan or attack the Service's infrastructure; or resell or redistribute the Service without our written permission. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these terms.
5. Fees and refunds
- Fixed-price diagnoses and pilots are agreed in writing, with deliverables and price, before you send files. Prices exclude VAT.
- Paid subscription plans, when offered, are billed in advance through Stripe and renew until cancelled. You can cancel at any time with effect from the end of the current period, and keep access until then. We do not prorate partial periods.
- If we fail to deliver what the written offer describes, contact us at contact@dppmaker.com for a refund of that fee. Refunds are not offered because a correctly computed result is not the one you hoped for: the job is to show gaps accurately, not to make them disappear. [TO BE REVIEWED: refund period and consumer rights.]
6. Availability and changes
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service unless agreed in writing. We may modify or discontinue features and update these terms from time to time. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the revised terms. Material changes affecting paying customers will be sent by email.
7. Liability
The Service is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for penalties, fines, audit or enforcement outcomes, lost sales or market access, lost data, or other indirect damages arising from your products, from the compliance information you publish or submit, or from use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim. [TO BE REVIEWED: no limitation for intent or gross negligence, or where mandatory law does not allow a limitation.]
8. Term, termination and deletion
You can stop using the Service at any time. After termination you can export your evidence packs for [30] days; we then delete your Customer Data. Deleting your organisation in the Service removes it at once; backups containing it are overwritten within 14 days.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your own jurisdiction provides otherwise. [TO BE REVIEWED: venue for business customers, e.g. Malmö District Court as first instance.]
